The Minolta SRT-101, XE-7, XD-11,X-700 and Maxxum 7000 are, in my opinion, worthy of consideration. The XE-7 was sold as the Leica R-3; the XD-11 was the first multi-mode 35mm SLR with both Aperture and Shutter Prferred and Manual Modes; the X-700 was the first 35mm SLR with TTL - Off-Film Flash Metering (still used today in digital cameras); the Maxxum 7000 was the first full-featured 35mm auto focus SLR.

Hi Edwin,
See my post above under Nikon F2 and motor. I put the
SRT101 in my top four also. Love it. Was a wonder for
its day.
