I have a Mamiya C330 that is in need of having the light baffel/seals replaced on the hinged door on the back of the
camera..It has become very soft and is falling apart. Anyone know where I could send the back hinged camera film door to have the gasket material replaced.. Or are there pre-cut gasket material that could be a do it yourself project.. Camera is in excellent condition, one owner..with 65mm,80mm,135mm and the 180mm lens..It belonged to my dad.
I am in need of this medium formatt camera to take some landscape photos from the air of our local state park, slides to be used for printing large formatt poster 32x48 for the visitors center..volunteer project.

Any recommendations for the gasket material..

What is the current general use slide film for landscapes, about asa 100..working in bright sun light beach area from air.

Try Paul Ebel at paulebel44@yahoo.com. He does all the work on my Mamiya TLRs and his work is top notch and his prices are very reasonable. Gary

Thanks Gary...However since posting this question, I found a source for the material as well as specific instructions on a do-it-yourself. On the C330 it was fairly straight forward without any complications. Cleaning the old goo out of the back took the longest, replacing the seals was about 30 minutes..Looks like new, and no noticeable light leaks of any sort..It appears that on this camera, the seals perhaps are more for dust than light? I tested the unit outside in very bright light, ran a roll and had it developed.

I found a very good article by Jon Goodman on replacing light seals to be very informative, in addition, he sells the material that will do the job, very inexpensive for a one source..six dollars..However, the materials will do about four camera's.

I have several other older camera's which need attention, and I will drop a line to your recommended repair source.

I didn't think about Jon even thou I've known him for a long time .He should be able to provide you with instructions for the Mamiya seal change out as I translated them from French to English for him some time ago. And yes the seal replacement is a piece of cake. Nice chatting with you.
