Evening all recently purchased a mamiya 645 1000s from Ebay
didnt get ripped off.
Went to a local camera store that had a lot of Mam lenses and they were not helpful in explaining which lenses were available and what type of fitting would work.
He first said any 645 lens and so i picked one up and he said but not that one. So that was about as helpful as as a 3 legged dog trying to bury a bone on an iced lake.
I have a 80mm but would like to seek out some others and some ebayers just dont know enough about the lens or cameras to know the compatability.
Ok thats all for now.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Any of the "manual" lenses marked "C" or "N". The only real difference with these are that the newer "N" lenses are "supposed to" have better multi coating. Both versions are good lenses.
It sounds like the salesperson didn't know what he or she was talking about.
The 1000S is a good camera; just be very sure that you use Silver Oxide batteries and not Alkaline, and be sure to change the battery at least once a year. The Alkaline batts
can have a drop off in voltage and you may think that the camera is firing, but there is not enough voltage to release
the shutter.
