OK folks, here's my dilemma. Up until this point I've been shooting Hasselblad without even a thought of changing. But, due to some medical issues my eyesight is not what it should be and the use of a manual focus Hassy is becoming harder...a real issue when shooting weddings, etc.
I'm looking into trading in my Hassy stuff for a couple of Mamiya 6's (I want to stick with the 6x6 format). However, everywhere I've looked wants to really screw me (or so I think) in trade ins. So far i've had one place offer me $350 for a 500C/M, 80mm planar t*, 150mm Sonnar, WL finder, Kiev 45* finder, split screen, standard screen, and filters. To me, this seems outrageous...considering a local shop is selling the same 150mm lense, in poorer condition, for $800.
Anyway...can anyone give me some advice on switching to the Mamiya 6? Culture shock, or no? I don't want to go to a big AF SLR, and I think that the rangefinder will be much easier to work with.
