Making the Pain Go Away

This forum isn't that active so I thought I'd throw in a story from the art show I did this past weekend.

Saturday night I woke with a terrible pain in my neck from what I assumed to be a pinched nerve. I was halfway through a potentially good art show and the last thing I needed was to be incapacitated and not be able to talk to customers, or pack up at the end of the day on Sunday. I informed the show director of my potential problem and she told me that her doctor was on the board and would have him come by my booth and speak to me.

The doctor turned out to be an orthopedic surgeon and ended up purchasing two large photos. Sometimes that's the best pain medication.

That's a fun story. How many shows in a year do you do? Are they varied arts or all photography shows?

Currently I do about 10 shows a year. In the past when I was younger (or felt younger), I've done as many as 35 to 40 shows a year. There are no photography only art shows. There are some fine art only shows that don't allow photography. But for the most part, The shows are a combination of fine art and fine craft and include approximately 5% and 10% photography. Here's a list of exhibitors from the show I did last weekend. You can see the mediums listed in the right hand column.
