OK I'm stumped on this one. A reader sent a query about the 2000P printer producing a magenta stripe, and inks have been run through nozzle check. Any ideas?

George,
Nozzles may be partially open with some restiction in their orifices, resulting in misdirected ink or nozzles may still be clogged in spite of the check. This would show up in the nozzle check, but you have to look really close and with a critical eye to see if there is anything wrong, particularly the misdirected nozzles.

A little late to the game on this one but I had a similar problem with a 1280. All it needed was a really good cleaning. It was just a clog that the normal nozzle check and cleaning routine couldn't fix. It happens sometimes.
