macro for beginner

not sure what code use is about. I am looking into trying macro. butterflys, frogs, plants,flowers etc. Still consider myself a beginner after a few years. Just alot of fun. Any advice on macro photography. ANY comments on subject is of interest to me thank you rockydog

John Shaw's "Close Ups in Narure" is a good source for techniques.
