i needa good canon slr with AF and manual focus for around 150....also a good zoom lens to go with it.....ive seen a few in stores like target and walmart...but they seem a little expensive, is this true or am i just craazy.. so back to my main point any help is welcomed
I picked up a Canon T-80 for 149.00 on E-bay. It is the first AF Canon made and fun to play with. The AF is a little slow and AF lenses are extremely limited. (only 3 different ones) but a very well built camera none the less. I have read a little on the lower priced Canon's and found the Tii to be the best one. But I believe you'll be around 200.
Last weekend, I picked up (from our local "Camera House" a franchised Australia-wide chain)a Canon EOS 630 (A$170), a dedicated Speedlight 240EZ (A$150), and an "Ultrasonic" EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 zoom lens. The camera came with a 28-70mm EF zoom and an original carry case and strap complete: all in superb condition. The salesman even threw in a new 2CR5. and 4 AA batteries to power the camera and flash.
Needless to say, I've been burning some film all weekend! Everything appears to be functioning perfectly, but the first rolls have yert to come back from the processor.
If you are looking for new, have you tried adorama and B&H?
