Hi:
I'm writing an article on how to buy digital cameras and I'm trying to find a camera salesperson (current or former) to interview. I would like to find out some of the behind-the-scenes tactics used by retail stores (like spiffs, promotional practices, etc.) The interview would be anonymous and I wouldn't mention the name of the store. (Don't want to get anyone in trouble.)
If you are interested, my email address is rik at rikfairlie dot com.
Thanks!
Rik

Not so strange a question because that's how good interviews start. But just throwing out some bait and hope that you get a few bites doesn't cut it. You need to seek out the people you want to interview and call them up. You can start by e-mailing them to set up a preliminary talk and have a recorder connected to your phone for any conversation you have with them. I have a good article on my web site about how I record my interviews.
Meanwhile, it was suggested to you on DPReview to contact MusicDoctor as he works in a camera store. Have you ever e-mailed him?
