I am in charge of a period costume photoshop at an upcoming fundraising event. Instead of passing memory chips back and forth I'd like to take images direct from the camera, convert to sepia if necessary, and print.

I have found where the Minolta A2 and Maxxum 7D have direct acquisistion capability and software. What about other cameras in the the same price range offer that capability?

The Canon eos 20D has that ability via USB cable. You could with some computer genius make it wireless. Im not sure about price structure

canon's new Rebel XT has this feature as well.

forgot to mention that one. Its very reasonable priced probalby around $1000.00

you may also have to buy the additinal software.

The Nikon D70 can do it also. I wrote about it in the Digital SLR>Nikon forum. Also the newer Nikons can do it using wireless but they are more expensive.
