While suffering much mental anguish/cerebal strain, I am sorting thru the plethora of LCD Monitors.
I would like opinions on the LGE 2000C and the NEC LCD 1990 SXI/SXP.
Welcome to the wonderful world of LCD monitors! Both the LGE L2000C and NEC LCD1990SXi have IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, which gives you the best possible color and gray-scale accuracy. Color temperature range is a big deal for me because I want to match the monitor to my 5000K SoLux digital darkroom lighting. The L2000C doesn't offer that as it only allows for 6500K or 9300K. The LCD1990SXi offers 2600-10000K. It also has a longer warrantee period (4 vs. 3 years) and a pixel out guarantee, vs. LGE none.
I would not consider the LCD1990SXp as it doesn't have IPS technology.
Thanks, I was wondering about the difference 'twixt the SXI and SXP.
Always, with a new endeaver there are a multitude of technical terms (buzz words) to master.
Graphics card, decent performer with AVI output?
My Dell P-991 is slowly losing contrast, time to plan ahead.
Being a casual amatuer I guess either one would answer to my needs.
