I recently purchased a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. My old Chinon 35mm Camera had an awesome Chinar Zoom Macro Lens 1:35-4.5 f=35-70mm. Does anyone know of any good quality adapters that would enable me to use this lense (I know it would have to be manual operation), or am I out of luck and needing to purchase a new lense.

Usually other lenses can be adapted to the Canon EOS cameras. I would inquire of B&H photo-video and Adorama if such an adapter is available.

I use lens adapters all the time to mount Zeiss ZF lenses (Nikon mount) to Canon EOS.
A quality lens adapter is $175 at CameraQuest.com , and $260 or so for Novoflex brand at B&H. There are cheapie ones on ebay, you get what you pay for.
But I don't think Chinon is a supported brand. My advice is to buy a new lens.
