[color:blue] [/color] I am new in studio photography and am wanting to get a good set of studio strobes. I have pretty much decided on the JTL versalight d 300 or 500's. And i am just wondering if they are worth the money. I have read alot of articles on them and they seem like a safe bet, but i would like to know what other "real" people think of them, as to make a good decision. Any and all feed back would be great. Thanks in advance.

You also might look into Alien Bees. They have had some good reviews for lights that are not too expensive.
A lot depends on what you actually wish to accomplish with studio lighting. i.e. are you plannng to actually have a professional studio. If so, you might wish to invest in higher end lighting. If you are near enough to a larger city that might have a professional photo store--go there and get an idea as to what you really can afford and accomplish.
You also might get B & H's professional lighting catalog to really see what else is out there.
