ISOLATING OBJECT FROM BACKGROUND IN PHOTOSHOP CS2

Hello All!

I need help!

I am shooting a couple of cream and spray bottles for a lady who will then use the pictures on printed brochures.

I think I've got a few decent shots that I can work with, but when I try to isolate these objects from the background in photoshop (CS 2), I can't get rid of background pixels from the edge of the objects.

I've tried the selection tools, the background eraser, the extraction plugin but I just can't get it right!. I know that it is possible to end up with a nice clean image for what I see in magazines and the web...

One more thing: After achieving this "isolation" from the background, how do I produce a file of this object with a "transparent", so that it can be used on any color background without having the "square" around the object?

I hope you guys and gals can help me as I am running out of time for this project and I would not end up embarrased with nothing to show!

Communication. Discuss the way the image is going to be used and then shoot it on the same color background as it's going to be placed. Feather the edges when you crop it out and the blend will be more natural. Then make the background color transparent.

Communication again. I turn down jobs that are beyond my skills and don't attempt to learn new Photoshop skills at a client's expense. When I need to crop out and change background, I hire a professional and subcontract the work out.
