I have a Canon Rebel XT digital with several lenses. I seem to remember reading that the Canon lenses are interchangeable between digital and 35mm. Is that true? If so, which Canon 35mm camera would you recommend? I want one that will allow manual control.
Yes and no. EF Lenses designed for the 35mm EOS cameras will work with digital EOS cameras. However, the reverse is not true. If the lens is designed for digital EOS cameras it will not mount on a film camera. Reason: The image circle at the plane of the APS-C sensor is much smaller than the 35mm frame, which means the 35mm image would be severely vignetted, at any focal length.
