Infrared Photos with Sony A300

Hi all, I have a Sony A300 and the tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens and i tried the T.V. remote trick to try to see the light and i turns out that i can see it but when i put the kit lens on (18-70 f3.5-5.6) with the IR filter all pics come out black so i was wondering if the lens makes a difference as to weather it will work or not???

Either the camera has infrared sensitivity or it doesn't. Which lens you use should have minimal effect on the infrared image. If you tried using an infrared filter and didn't see anything in the image when opening it in an editing program, there wouldn't be infrared sensitivity.

The flash is also very beneficial at night, since it produces full color photos, while the infrared camera might or might not produce black and white photos during the night. When choosing your ideal camera, all of these factors will need to be carefully considered. grants for churches by Government-Grant
