While editing images in photoshop 7.0 can I check for good focus by zooming in four or five clicks( CNTR +)? I see pixalation, but is this effecting my seeing good focus in the image?

It depends on your view percentage. If you're looking at it at 100%, you're seeing actual pixels and if it's appearing pixelated it probably is, the only way to be sure is to make a print. But if you're using in between view percentages, it probably isn't accurate. Newer versions of Photoshop have improved the view at in between percentages.
