I have this camera and am very pleased with it. Great lens, relatively easy to use, great quality images. If you mean can you stand on the shore and take shots of surfers then I think yes. Good zoom lens and image stabilization is great.

Are you have some extra zoom as Wide or Telephoto?
Or only the camera.

I also have this camera. Bought it 3 wks ago after repair shop told me my fz-20 was toast, thanx to the rain in Honolulu in March. Bigger than my 20, slight differences in menus and such, but fabulous picture-taking. Not f2.8 throughout the zoom range like my old one, but great pix. Reviews all mention some noise issues, but I take pix up to 200 iso without noise that ps7 can't fix. I paid 488.00 at Central Digital (www.centraldigital.com) - if you go there, ask for Bill: he's a salesman of his word, and I had my camera the NEXT day - unlike another site who took my money and didn't tell me it was out of stock until 3 days later...

Isn't good the zoom than fz-20?

Be sure, the zoom on the fz30 is EVERY bit as effective as the one on the fz20! F2.8 refers to aperture opening. I am a digi-enthusiast with limited slr experience, so I have only the faintest understanding of apertures - I thinik the smaller the number (ie. F2.8 vs. F8.0), the larger the aperture, and the larger the aperture, the more light enters the camera when the shutter is tripped. The thing is, in RAW mode, the FZ30 offers 8mp. In other modes I can take 7mp. pix. The fz20's top tiff mode is 5mp. Therefore, for my purposes, the greater resolution on the fz30 along with that fabulous 12x optical zoom (which, by the way, jumps up to 19x under some circumstances - WITHOUT using digital zoom...!) is a marked improvement over my beloved fz20. I tend to babble sometimes, and I am sorry for that - but I hope I answered your question, at least sort of...

What are better to take photo to a distance of 150 meters more or less?
