ok so right now i have a old nikon cammera witha 55mm nikkor lense and i would like to buy a more mordern camera with a built in flash and both manual and auto focus, also im looking for a good zoom lense to go with it? any suggestions?
You didn't give a price range or specify the kind of photography you practice (sports? portrait?, weddings? travel? nature?), but I don't think you'd go far wrong with one of the Canon Rebel models. Nikon has some good offerings, too. Both brands have based their digital systems on their film cameras, so their 35mm models are less likely to become obsolete as soon as some other brands. Plenty of zoom lenses for both systems as well. both OEM and aftermarket. What zoom range are you looking for? If you give us some specifics as to your needs, we can offer more specific advice.
i shoot nature, with the occasional football game...also car shows and air shows are mainly what i like to do
Nature & football: 200-800 mm deopending upon size of subject and distance.
Car shows: 16-100 mm with a close focus ability to lock onto details.
i think im gonna go for the canon eos k2 with a zoom lens then im gonna buy a wide angle...probably a 24mm?
24mm is my favorite wide angle. I tend to use a 35 as a "normal" lens rather than a 50, and the 28 just seems neither here nor there to me.
