Home Entertainment 2004 East

America's largest consumer expo for home entertainment and imaging offers three days to explore and demo the finest consumer electronics products—under one roof in NYC. The Home Entertainment Show (HE2004), the largest and most comprehensive showcase of consumer electronics and imaging products in America, returns to New York City May 20–23, 2004 at the Hilton New York Hotel—the site of two popular HE Shows held in 2001 and 2002. Over 15,000 attendees are expected to visit the NY Hilton, optimized for the ultimate user experience. Unlike typical trade shows, HE2004 provides visitors with the opportunity of seeing and hearing the finest products in upscale hotel rooms, creating the best-sounding environments for demonstrating high-performance gear.

While the first day of the show is reserved for members of the trade and press, the public will have three days to explore and demo millions of dollars' worth of audio, digital video, home theater, computer, and digital imaging equipment, accessories, DVDs, CDs, LP recordings, and more in exhibit rooms found on several floors of the hotel. The manufacturers and local retailers will include: Harvey Electronics, Sound By Singer, Hewlett-Packard, McIntosh, MartinLogan, Monster Cable, Naim Audio, Outlaw Audio, Paradigm, Polk Audio, Runco, Samsung, Shure, Sony, and many other high-profile brands!

Photography enthusiasts will enjoy the new Digital Imaging Pavilion, where they'll be able to see highlights of the advancements in imaging convergence technology, check out new equipment for 2004, attend in-depth seminar workshops, and talk with experts from Shutterbug, Petersen's Photographic, and eDigital magazines.

Home audio and home theater buffs, from beginners to pros, can participate in a number of interactive educational seminars sponsored by popular consumer electronics editors and key industry experts on hot topics about HDTV, high-resolution sound, upgrading and tweaking a home theater system, video recording, vinyl vs. compact disc recordings, and the new SACD and DVD-Audio formats.

Also included with the price of a ticket are daily free concerts from popular jazz, blues, contemporary, and classical musicians, culminating with a grand, spectacular concert on Friday evening by popular recording artists—proceeds to benefit the Elf Foundation, a nonprofit charity that brings music and film to children enduring extended stays in hospitals across the country.

Co-sponsors for Home Entertainment 2004 include Primedia Publishing's high-tech magazines: Best, Connected, eDigital Photo, Home Theater, Stereophile, Stereophile Ultimate A/V, and Shutterbug, along with www.hometoys.com—the premiere Web portal and Home Technology Library, providing up-to-the-minute news, in-depth articles, product reviews, research archives, event calendars, and company directories.
