Help! Which Camera?

Hi, I'm fairly new to photography and i'm looking to upgrade to a DSLR, i'm currently using a Minolta Maxxum HTsi Plus. The two cameras i've looked into are the Nikon D40X and the Sony Alpha A-100. My area of interest is Outdoors/Nature however i'd like to be able to use it for anything. Since i have a minolta lens that i can use on the Sony it makes it a good choice but then again i only have one lens. I like them because they are somewhat affordable and they're 10 megapixels however nothing has really made me want one more than the other. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Minolta 35mm camera bodies and lenses acquired by Sony held a long and strong reputation for performance and quality by enthusiasts. Sony has been a technology leader and makes their own digital sensor chips as well as those used by many other brands of cameras. That makes pretty strong combination, especially at the competitive price the A100 sells for. Pretty hard to do better than that and also have the advantage of using a Minolta lens you have already.
