Help with Sony Cybershot DSC-W70

Help! I bought the Cybershot about 9 months ago and all the reviews I have read rave about the picture quality. I cannot get good pictures with this camera. They usually come out blurry and I have messed with the ISO setting and when it is higher, it is grainy AND blurry. I don't have the steadiest of hands and I realize that the weight of the camera contributes to my problem but I am ready to pitch this in the trash. I had an Olympus c-4000 and it worked great (weighed a lot more). Is there anyone or anywhere that can help me figure out how to take better pictures? I have read the manual numerous times already.

Do you use a tripod?

No. I have one for photographing jewelry but I don't use one for action shots and it just isn't feasible or allowed where I take them.

If a camera is light in weight and has to be held away from the body to see the image framing in the LCD to make exposures, this combination contributes to a lot of camera movement when the exposure is made that results in blurry pictures in low light.

One solution for taking action pictures is to use a telescoping monopod, which allows you to exert pressure down on the camera with your arms steadying it significantly.

Another solution is to use the HoodLoupe made by Hoodman which is a cone shaped structure of light plastic that fits around the LCD screen and has an eye-level ocular lens. This allows holding the camera close to your face while being able to see the entire LCD screen, providing a better hand/arm/body configuration to hold the camera steady.
