I have researched various sources regarding options for credit card / check / ATM-Debit card processing systems for Art Fairs. I would like to know what experience you have and recommendations on the subject. I personally like the wireless Nurit 8000 machines but they are pricey (both outright purchase or lease programs). The benfits of having such a system over my laptop with authorize software access seem obvious: It looks more presentable (customers feel more secure using a familiar Point of Sale machine) and it is much faster than entering information on a laptop (for those times you have more than one customer ready to pay -- speed is essential).

I know it seems like i made up my mind but i am actually just presenting the information i found. If you have been accepting credit cards / debit cards / ATM at art shows for some time using a different system or are happy with the processing company you are using then please feel free to share your story and referance.

I welcome all opinions on this matter. I need to make a decision soon for the next show.
