Hands-On with Nikon’s Low Light Marvel: the New D5 Full Frame DSLR at WPPI (Short Take Video)

The Nikon D5 was announced in early January but it’s only just now making its debut in the United States. We got some early hands-on time with Nikon’s newest flagship full-frame DSLR at the WPPI show in Las Vegas this week.

The Nikon D5, which features a 20.8-megapixel full frame sensor and can shoot at up to ISO 3,280,000 (no, not a typo!), was one of the most buzzed about products at WPPI so we had Lindsay Silver, Nikon’s senior product manager for Pro DSLRs, give us a walkthrough of all the key features of this intriguing new camera.

Check out the short video below and keep visiting our website for more videos of the hot new photo gear at WPPI. If you want to dig a little deeper, here’s a video of the D5 firing off 12 frames-per-second image bursts with full autofocus, and here are some photos of the camera chopped in half and dissected.
