Hi everybody !!! I will be traveling to Chile South America and I will be taking my D200 , My question is .. Here we have 120 v and there is 220 v .. do I need a kind of transformer or other device to recharge my battery??? Any comments on this and airlines tips will be very helpfull to me ..Thanks agian for all your help

Most places that carry electronic equipment also sell conversion kits for foreign electrical systems. I think Radio Shack has one that works world-wide.....

My D200 battery charger is marked 100-250 volts, 50-60 cycles. If yours is marked the same you may need to check the coard. nikon advises one rated to a european spec. I have had mine all over the world. with no fires yet. It was purchased in Japan. 100 volts 50 cycles I think. The Nikon web site has the exact info you are looking for also in the paperwork with the charger.
I too will be Peru this may!! And was in Torre de Paine for it's last big fire about two years ago.
