Get a Load of This Rare, Three-Foot Long Nikon 1200mm Super Telephoto Lens

We love covering stories about big lenses and judging by reader reaction, you love reading about them as well. So here’s another interesting piece of big lens news that popped up today: a massive, three-foot long Nikon 1200mm lens set-up has been listed on eBay for $5,750.

According to the seller, the Nikon 1200mm Nikkor-P.C f/11 lens (with an AU-1 focusing unit AU-1, is in “MINT” condition and only 359 pieces of this particular Nikkor lens set-up were ever produced.

“This Nikon 1200mm lens is in a close to new condition with no shortcomings,” the seller says. “[T]here is no dust and no mold in the lens. That’s more than amazing for a lens from 1974. Outside there are very slight scratches on the black grained finish.”
