Genuine Fractals 5.0 beta

onOne Software, Inc., announces today the availability of the Genuine Fractals 5 public beta. Users interested in becoming beta testers can register at http://labs.ononesoftware.com . In addition, anyone who purchased Genuine Fractals 4.1 or Genuine Fractals Print Pro 4.1 on or after December 18, 2006 will receive a free upgrade to Genuine Fractals 5.

I was thinking of getting Genuine Fractals 4 with the Dx0 Optics bundle offer (and free upgrade to GF5). I never used GF though, does it really do a much better job than Photoshop?

I believe it does. I ran tests some time ago with CS vrs GF 3.51. It is possible that CS II and III may have improved on this, but I am not sure. You might check with David Brooks because he is presently field/beta testing CS III.

I have not upgraded GF since I am a Corel private beta tester, and the last GF version that will work with anything but Photoshop/Elements is the version I have.
The newer versions will only work with PS 6 and newer.

I have been a GF user since it's very begining.

P.S. I note you are using Luca in your name. Do you have relatives there? We have very good friends who still have relatives there.
