Hi all, new here, and fairly new to serious digital photography.
My question is about filters. My daughter is in gymnastics, and the gym she practices in has horrible lighting. 20 foot high fluorescent bulbs, very little natural light, but what does come in usually is very bright directly behind where she practices floor routine. I can angle a little to take that out, but the pics I've taken recently all have random light spots.
I have a Sony DSC-H5, and just bought PL, FL, UV, ND+4, and ND+8 filters. I know to not use the NDs or UV, but would the PL or FL be better to eliminate some of the light issues? Or should I go with an entirely different filter that I don't yet have? The PL is more for glare and reflection, right? The walls in the gym are gloss white (don't ask me why), so the natural light coming in may reflect a little. I just want some good action photos of her, but the light is awful. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
