How many megapixels with a full frame sensor, does it take to equal 100 ISO with film? I've heard that the Canon 5D 12.8mp with the full frame sensor or simalar camera is equivalint to medium format with film. True or Not
Thanks Craig

Film/digital: there is no way to compare them exactly because a film image is made up of grain, organized noise, and a digital image is essentially free of noise or should be.

Wrong question, one that will get a lot of useless answers. It's about all sorts of things that influence human visual perception. Resolution (vague term in reality) is only one of those issues. Contrast, acutance, color, tonality, grain/noise or lack thereof, etc all come into play.
Bottom line: a 24X16 print is almost always going to look better from a quality 12MP digital SLR versus 35mm film. For technically excellent originals on medium format film that is drum-scanned at high quality, some subjects will indeed look better from film. And some won't.
