Hi! New here. I am looking at a new printer here. Sorry, don't remember the model numbers, but looking at a HP or an epson. Both will print 13" ... opinions on either?
Thank you

Jenny I assume,
You may, being into portraiture and I would think concerned about print life, be thinking about the Epson Stylus Photo R2400. There is also a new HP model that they hope to compete with the R2400 just announced, the PhotoSmart B9180.
Both Canon and HP have new printers with which they are trying to catch up to Epson. Epson has been at the business of photo inkjet printing for a long time, and I think they will be ahead for awhile yet. Maybe better to bet on a proven racehorse.
I've got to agree with David on this one. I purchased an R2400 a while back and am absolutely amazed by it. I suspect that I'm going to go for a larger printer sooner or later, so I can print even wider than 13", but that's just an issue of mechanics. The R2400 is a world-class printer and I'll be using it for years.
Hi, thanks for the replies. Last time I was looking, like last year, I was looking at the epson 2200. I had heard some good stuff about the newer HP, but always have about the epsons. Just wanted some feedback before I buy. I would like to be able to print stuff here with longevity.
Thank you!
Jenny
I have a 2200 and it's excellent, but it's also obsolete. As soon as I can, I'm uprading to the 2400.
