Hi,

I am looking for a fast standard zoom for my Canon EOS 33V film slr. Something around 24-70mm, or maybe 28-80, with a constant fast apeture.

The Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L-series beast is NOT in my budget, so I was considering the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8EX DG MACRO. However, I have previously owned a Sigma 28-200mm f3.5-5.6 zoom and while this worked fine on my old Eos 3000, it REFUSES to work on my Eos 33V.

Does anyone know if the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8EX DG MACRO will work on my Eos 33V? I'm sure I am not the only person ever to have this problem...

I can't be, surely...
