F1 or A1

Hey guys I have narrowed it down, I think, and Here are my two options: the Canon F1 or the A1 can anyone please detail the differences and pros cons of either? Im leaning towards the F1 but thats simply because I can't find out much about the A1. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help.

Either one is a fine camera. The basic difference is the A1 has more electronics, i.e., automatic exposure. You can, however, also choose: (1) aperture priority, (2) shutter priority, or (3) manual and set aperture and shutter speed yourself. The A1 is not autofocus.

I purchased the A1 new and still enjoy making great photos after 19 years of use. I believe you will also find a greater supply of A1 cameras and lenses as compaired to the F1s. I hope you visited Adorama or B & H online; both have quite a selection of A1s and FD lenses for the A1 camera.
