Is there already a subject that contains this information somewhere?

Try the knowledge-base on the Adobe web site at:

Adding EXIF data to an image that has had it's EXIF data stripped out, or adding information to editable fields in the EXIF data?

If I click on a picture on a forum, I get the 'General' information...but can't see the data(shutter speed, focal lenght, etc....). It's kind of a way to see how others are making those great pictures. I use this as a learning tool, or at least I want to learn.

If anyone is using "Save For Web" in Photoshop or Elements, it's stripping out the EXIF data for a slightly smaller file size image. That's how I create my web JPEGs.

Yes save for web removes the EXIF as it's making the file as small as it can for quicker loading speeds. but just a normal save as JPG should not do so. I use Adobe CS3 master collection and I haven't had any problems with any EXIF data being removed from my works.
