I am debating whether to buy a second large format photo printer. My current one that I have is the HP Photosmart 8750. It does a great job, however I am looking for something that have separate ink cartridges. The two that I am interested has one thing in common and that is loading the photos from the back. The Epson uses 6 cartridges vs. seven on the Canon. I will be using either of these on an iMac with Photoshop CS3 natively. Here I will need to get a small print server, so that I can use it on my small network at home. I do have a Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Business on two separate PC's. Anyhow, to go back to the printers, I am not sure whether to pick the Epson R1400 or the Canon Pixma9000. Both appear to be end of life cycle, since one is a floor model (Epson) at Circuit City (price is $160) never used as far as the ink cartridges and the Canon one I can purchase for $399 with a total rebate of $300 from Canon. I value your opnion on this decision.
