I am surprised as many critical, negative comments as there have been and as much interest in cheaper 3rd party inks for printers as has been expressed that there has been no response to the fact (see post in InkJet section) the government ITC has upheld the copyrights of Epson in their appeal against independent ink supplier that will now restrict cheaper inks from being sold in Epson (HP-Canon) compatible cartridges.
I think everyone would be incensed and outraged if camera companies did not allow independent lens makers to sell lenses and accessories that will fit the mounts of Nikon, Canon and other camera makes. So why should photographers have to buy only high priced ink for Epson, Canon and HP from the printer manufacturer for their printers, and not independent suppliers????
If you the consumers do not take an interest and let your Congressman and the ITC know this is an unfair monopoly you loose and the big corporations win. So speak up to preserve fair competition in the marketplace, especially for ink for printers.
