On a c86 printer, if the printer is telling you that you need to replace the cyan cartridge would this cause your prints to come out all red. Or do i have another problem?

Joel,

Your printer creates colors from black, cyan (blueish hue), magenta (reddish hue) and yellow ink. If there is no or not enough cyan ink, then your print will be too light and have a strong reddish cast. Replacing the cyan cartridge should cure this problem.
