Enlarger Help????

Hello everyone I'm brand new to this, first post. I am actually not artisitic enough to be a photographer but I need some photography help. I am looking to buy an enlarger for my girlfriend for her birthday so that she can have her own darkroom and not have to worry about lab hours. Unfortunately, I am not sure what is a good enlarger to buy her. I am looking at the beseler CIIIXLI http://www.beselerphoto.com/index.html These are similar to the ones she uses at school but may be a little more advanced. She only takes black and white pictures so I dont know if there is any other enlargers that would work, possibly a little more wallet friendly??? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you so much!!!

Look at the besler printmaker 35 or cadet; depends upon how big an enlargement she wishes to make and the film format she uses as to the one purchased. printmaker 35 can use MF film with accesories.
You might also look at used equipment; there musttons of them on the market now. The last die-hard I know just went to scanning film, after 50yrs in the dark room.

Thank you the help is appreciated. If the baseboard is only a certain size is that the limit of the size of picture that can be developed or can I attach the enlarger to the table and use an easel to get a bigger image?

You can turn the enlarger around to project on the floor. If the column attaches to the base, just rotate it 180 degrees and clamp the base to the table.
