You really haven't stated what exactly your problem is. If it's printing, and you are trying to match your prints to your screen, it may be the printer. If I recall correctly,
your 960 may only be a 4 color printer, and that could have a bearing.

The Epson 960 is 6 color. I get a pretty close match screen to print using colorsync and basic presets at the printer screens. I decided to get closer and broaden my paper choices. I chose to go with the spyder2pro and printfix. Much too saturated and too much red or magenta.

Trying to correct with their methods have only produced prints that get worse.

I am guessing from the underwhelming response that no one is attempting to use DoctorPro and actions in Elements 3.0. I know actions are available as a work around. I just don't know how. Oh well.

You might consider purchasing an OEM copy of Photoshop 7.0. That would make using Doctor Pro directly standard. However, I would suggest that if you are not getting very close to print matching using Spyder2Pro and PrintFix using DoctorPro IS NOT a solution, there is likely some error in your setup and workflow involved, and you should review each setting to see that it conforms to the ColorVision documentation. Usually just one stage in setup and workflow that is pointing to the wrong profile is the cause of not obtaining print matching that is not functioning at least close to a match.

Thanks David. You are absolutely right. The vrs. boxes to check or uncheck is crucial to getting a final "on target" photo. As an old retired biology teacher there are just too many variables. I wish the industry would somehow make the process of color management much easier.

My problem is I remember the TV sets of the early 50s. Don't have to fool with all those knobs anymore.

I would like to concentrate on the end result not all the workflo tweeks along the way.
