Help, I am using Elements 6 when I am either trying to Dodge or Burn I am getting NO results. I tried everything, new adjustments layer, adjusting the exposure, changing the range shadows, midtones, highlights and using different brush types...nothing. What am I doing wrong.

Without knowing what your work space looks like, make sure you're on the background layer.
