Just wondering what would be the best extreme macro set up for my E-500? Low end and high end. I have the 17-45mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Lens and the 40-150mm f3.5/4.5 Zuiko as well. Any help would be appreciated.
Neither of these lenses are listed as macro. The shorter zoom will focus to about 15 inches, .38m, and the long lens about 3 ft., .9 meter. There was no indication of magnification ratio on the web site.
What do you mean by "extreme" macro?
I was wandering if I can add anything, to the front or back of either of these two lenses that will improve their macro, or would it be best to get a different lens for this purpose. The closer the better.
The extention tube will make the lenses focus closer and the 1.4x teleconverter will increase the focal length by a factor of .4. Check to see compatibility on the OLY web site for both of these pieces with your lenses. You may have to focus manually, but in macro work that is the norm anyway.
