I have a 20" Dell UltraSharp LCD monitor that's calibrated with a Spyder Pro2 colorimeter. My prints with the R1800 look great. I had no problems with calibration.
I'm using an old AVI all in wonder video card that using a 15 pin analogue connector to the monitor. My digital files look great on the monitor.
What would the benefit be in screen clarity in switching to a new video card that uses DVI? My prints look very sharp from the R1800. In fact, prints from my 5D look like the medium format prints I got when printing Cibachromes back in the film days.
If I missing something, I'd like to know...
