I am looking for a good online resource for a camera bag that can do it all.
I live in Hawaii so moisture can be an issue, my adventures take me up mountains across streams etc so I need to stay hydrated ie camel back type hydration system.
Is it a pipe dream to think all can live harmoniously in one great pack...camera, one extra lens, snacks, rain pancho,H2o.
What do the professional out back adventure photogs do???
No one answered yet so I'll take a shot at it. There is no one bag that can do it all because everyone has different requirements, and those requirements change all the time. I have about a half dozen different bags for different shooting situations based on how much equipment I want to carry. For a start, Think Tank cases all come with waterproof rain covers.
I have seen endless articles written about camera bags.
Yep, there is no such thing as an all ocassion camera bag such as there is no all -- female purse, lol. However, one can get a large size bag to store a good bit of equipment (including desacant)in ones vehicle and use it as a replacement center or for choice of equipment needed for a particular day or days of a trip. It seems almost as with tripods, I have almost one for each type of day or short trtip. Now with the zoom as good as they are and with a wide-to-tele range, one or two lenses can foot the bill. So the main camera and a back up (which can be a decent, good, point and shoot) the camera bag is no longer over-stuffed. As mentioned there is no on that will do magic. As time goes on one learns what is needed (cough, cough) what is wanted. good hunting
