Hi, I'm new to this foram/group. My names Peter and I live in Norwich, UK. For several years now I have been using digital SLR's. But just recently I 'inherited' a 35mm film kit, which consists of the following: Minolta X-700 with an MD 50mm lense. A Tokina SD 70-210mm, Minolta Auto Rokkor - PF 55mm, and HG 35mm, Minolta extension tube, Vivitar 100-200mm 2x mached multiplier, Power winder M-1000, Minolta auto 280 PX flash gun. Plus a Zeiss Ikon Ikophot and Sangamo Weston, Weston Master IV lightmeters.
I know nothing really about this kit, but I'm very keen to make some use of it. I intend to use it for black & white photography.
Some time ago I had a 'free' roll of Ilford Delta 400 professional film (24 exp) along with an envelope to send it to Ilford for processing etc. This was free with an issue of Amateur Photographer.
What I need to know is this. First, does this seem a 'decent' kit for b&w work, and second, is this roll of film/processing reasonable to use.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
Best regards, Peter
