I just shot a friends Wedding. I am an amiture photographer with a 20D. Yikes! The pictures came out not excellent but just okay. I shot better pictures on my Minolta Dimage 7. There are a good handful of pictures that came out just fine. My question is that I have an hp photosmart 1215 printer. Both the inside pics as well as the outdoor are dark and need better color. I am an advanced photoshop user and have photoshop the heck out of these pic's. But when I print them they dont look all that great. Is there a place that photographers send their digital pictures to to have them developed?? or should I just invest in a better printer??? What do you suggest? Please help!

Hi Lizzy, I send out all my wedding proohs to Mpix. I do all the PS'ing and mail in the CD. Although I can print at home, the cost is actually less thandoing it at home.
Your printer may be at fault, but I am unfamiliar with HP.
Also, is your monitor calibrated, at least to Adobe Gamma?
Is the 1215 a PHOTO or a BUSINESS printer?
What EXACTLY is it that does not look great? Color? ?????

Try Costco for their prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. A lot of wedding photographers are using them because of the inexpensive per print cost.
