D70 Focus

I use a thread mounted polorizer on both my 28-200 and Tamron 200-400. At max zoom it misses the focus point when used on my D70 but works fine when same are used on my 6006. Any suggestions?

It's not unusual for a linear polarizer (if that's what you have) to decieve a camera's AF function. You need a circular polarizer to avoid that effect.
