I'm using CS2 on XP and Bridge is set up to open with a single click--very annoying and hard to select images instead of opening them. I can't find anything in preferences. Any ideas?
Thanks
Willy

Willy,
Whether a file opens on a single or double click is something that is set in Windows preferences, not in Bridge or Photoshop.
I assume you're referring to opening Bridge through the toolbar at the top of the Photoshop workspace. A single click is the way all the tool are accessed. Imagine if you had to double click to open Curves or Levels. You can also put a shortcut to Bridge on the desktop which will require a double click to open, as will any other Windows application.
Hi Larry...I wasn't very clear about that---What I meant was that in Bridge--after it's been opened--it only takes one click on a thumbnail to open it in PS. And, as David was getting at, it's not the way I have the preferences set for windows (it takes a double click to open files in Windows.)
So when I want to select a group group of files---to add a copyright or change the metadata for all of them at once--it's tricky. In other words I can't SELECT a thumbnail by clicking on it once--that opens it.
Not sure if this will work as I don't use Bridge that way.
Try this:
Open Bridge
Edit>Preferences>Advanced> and put a check in the box labeled double click edits camera raw settings in Bridge.
That sounded promising....but didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion, Larry.
