Ok, I purchased Canon's EF 200mm F/2.8L for my Rebel XTi and my question is: Does the recommended minimum shutter speed rule of 1/200(Analogous focal length) sec apply to this camera body as well? What I mean is
Not if you use a tripod. But I would say that the magnification factor should be taken into account when hand holding. Some will tell you otherwise, so it really depends on how steady you can hand hold a heavy camera with a heavy lens, which is sometimes easier than hand holding a light camera with a light lens.
Indeed. I'm going to employ some shooting(Marksmanship) techniques that I think might carry over quite well for photography. That is, when I snap a picture: Press and hold(Dont release) the shutter release and either hold your breath and shoot or release all the air in your lungs, hold it, and then shoot.
