this saturday, i'm going to pacoima to take photos at "the blessing of the cars", which is a show of pre-1967 cars of all types. i'm taking a 50mm macro and 17:35mm telephoto lens. any suggestions from those of you who love to photograph old cars and their owners as to what i might do specifically to capture the "moods"? i know a lot of people do tailfins of old cars and stuff - i'm thinking some of the owners will be as "customized" as their cars. would appreciate any tips you have.

A polarized filter would probably come in handy.
Try a few shots where you're squatting low on the ground looking up at the vehicle. Particularly if you're doing headlights or taillights, the sky is a much less busy background than a view of the other entries
