Canon i950 printer ink-level indicator

Is there an ink-level indicator with the Mac driver for the Canon i950 printer?
I'm using a Canon i950 printer, an iMac, 20", computer with Adobe PS CS2. I was using this printer with the PC version of Adobe Photo PS 7 on an a " very tired" Gateway PC. During printing with the PC, an ink-level indicator would appear that showed the levels of ink in each cartridge, especially showing which one was very low and would soon need replacing.

It's been a bit of a stretch going from the Windows 98 to the Mac OS X platform and from a PC to a Mac.

I've been printing but the ink-level indicator doesn't appear but a hands-on look at the magenta and the photo magenta cartridges showed both empty.

I've brought up the Printer Utility window and clicked around but "no joy."

I work on a Mac, but use a Epson R800. I do not know about Canon. and using the printer utility, but with the Epson Printer when I click on the printer utility it shows the ink levels.

Thanks. I posted the same query on another forum and a fellow came back with implicit instructions for finding the ink-level indicator on my Canon i950. It took a lot of click here, then here, now here, etc., but up it came.
