I just upgrade my camera equipment by including a CANON EOS 30D. I also have a CANON EOS Film Camera, a CANON Rebel XT Digital Camera, and a Hasselblad 500CM. I use studio flash lighting from Elinchrome and works really fine with all cameras but with the CANON EOS 30D. It basically can't sincronize well at any speed. I can do it perfectly with all other cameras. I contacted Canon Technical support and they told me that they don't support that and recommend me to upgrade my lighting equipment with Canon (I guess the wish to have some day lighting equipment like Elinchrome's). The lights works just fine, it's just the new camera that shows half of the picture well exposed and the bottom half black. The camera works well without flash or with any shoe-mounted flash. The problem happens just with this studio flash. Does anybody could give me hint other than Canon's recommendation?. Thanks.

What shutter speed are you using?

Please only post your questions to one forum. Duplicating questions on different forums are only confusing and won't get your questions answered any faster. There is already a thread on this same question on the Canon digital forum.
